Jesus Hidden in Proverb13:7

Almost every Sunday since last month, the chairman would read 2 Corinthians 8:9 at offering time during worship:

“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.”

And on last Sunday, 10th of October, Brother Samuel made a special effort in clarifying the highlighted phrase: “ that He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor” to make sure that we understand that Jesus was made poor only when He was hung on the cross, and that He IS STILL rich.

As I was reading my daily Proverbs 13 just now, I came across verse 7,and it described BEAUTIFULLY and confirmed Brother Samuel's statement that Jesus IS STILL RICH even after He was made poor on the cross for our sakes:

Proverbs 13:7
“There is one who makes himself rich, yet has nothing,
And ONE who makes Himself poor, yet has GREAT RICHES.

Are you getting ‘HIM' ,Jesus who was tucked away in that short phrase there? Verse 7b described Jesus who became poor on the cross, yet He has GREAT RICHES!!

Wow!!!

Let those who have eyes, SEE Jesus in the scripture and receive LIFE!! Amen.

Obtain Understanding via the Holy Communion!

Jesus found in Proverbs 9:1-6 via the Lens of 1 Corinthians 1:30 & 11:23-25
Lately, my girls have been facing a problem in their learnings, namely their lack in understanding. There's not much I could do to help them with this apart from praying for them as well as asking them to pray and ask the Lord themselves for this gift of understanding and wisdom, quoting from James 1:5-6a where Apostle James said:
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting..."
And tonight, as I was reading Proverbs 9:1-6 to my Amber as her daily devotional, the Lord opened my eyes to see that one way of gaining understanding is via partaking of the Holy Communion, the means of grace Jesus Himself instituted on the night He was betrayed! Let me show it to you:
The Way of Wisdom (Proverbs 9:1-6 NKJV)
1 Wisdom has built her house,
      She has hewn out her seven pillars;
2 She has slaughtered her meat,
      She has mixed her wine,
She has also furnished her table.
3 She has sent out her maidens,
She cries out from the highest places of the city,
4 “ Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!”
As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him,
5 “ Come, eat of my bread
And drink of the wine I have mixed.
 6 Forsake foolishness and live,
And go in the way of understanding.

New Testament Lenses used:
1. 1 Corinthians 1:30 (NKJV) :
30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from
God--and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—

2. 1 Corinthians 11:23-25 (NKJV)Bread and wine : Picture of the
     Holy Communion

23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread
24 and when He had given thanks, He broke itand said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

Therefore I re-wrote Proverbs9:1-6 in the NEW LIGHT as follows(all paraphrases are in red italics):
The Way of Jesus Christ (who became for us wisdom from God)
1 Jesus has built his house,
      He has hewn out his seven pillars;

2 He has slaughtered his meat,
      He has mixed his wine,
He has also furnished his table.

3 He has sent out his servants,
He cries out from the highest places of the city,

4 “ Whoever is simple, let him turn to ME!”

As for him who lacks understanding, He says to him,

5 “ Come, eat of my body which is broken for you
And drink of this cup which is the new covenant in My blood.

6 Forsake foolishness and live,
And go in the way of understanding.

Healing of the mind is one of the many benefits we can receive from the Lord as we partake of the Holy Communion! Wow! Do you believe this?

"Whoever is simple----easily led astray and wavering, and
whoever lacks understanding let him come," the Lord shouts His invitation,

"Come and eat my body which is broken for your healing and wholeness, and
drink of my blood which was shed for the forgiveness of your sins that
you might enjoy all the blessings of my Father and
his help in times of trouble and needs!"

I do not know about you, but, my girls and I were definitely EXCITED about this discovery and we are eager to BELIEVE it for ourselves! Would you like to join us? I would like to hear wonderful testimony from you about this!
